The new Hockey Canada Registry (HCR) accessed through Spordle has given parents/guardians a lot more access to edit their information in the registry.
There are new requirements in HCR that is causing triple the amount of work for our Registrar/OMHA Rep.
To try to eliminate the number of issues we're having on EVERY ROSTER, we're asking all parents - especially REP parents, and all bench staff to login to their
Spordle account and complete the following or confirm the following:
PROOF OF AGE
A copy of every player's birth certificate must be loaded to their profile.
PROOF OF RESIDENCY
A copy of a parent/guardian's driver's licence or other form of government ID showing a current address must be loaded to each child's profile.
WAIVERS
All bench staff must login to Spordle and make sure that the waivers are signed.
BACKGROUND CHECKS
While having a "pending" background check will allow me to get you on a roster, it won't get the roster approved. Please submit your request for a Vulnerable Sector Check immediately or your team roster will not be approved. The
OPP online record check is much faster than the Peterborough Police system, but you must live in an OPP-policed community to use their application site. If you haven't received the required form from us, please contact
Tanya Dunford.
UPDATE PROFILE
All parents/guardians must login to Spordle and update their own profile or child's profile information. There's new information required that is mandatory and emails must be entered and kept up to date.
If you're unsure how to login or update your profile information on your own, please email
[email protected].
Emails have already been sent to some families requesting birth certificates and the completion of courses, but this is the first year that rosters have been rejected due to missing waivers and incomplete profile information and it appears that 50% of our association or more need to update their profiles.
THANK YOU!
