The first meeting of the new Executive Committee will take place on:
Monday, June 11th - 6:00 p.m. at RJ Brown Insurance
(18 Queen Street, Lakefield)
Meetings are open to the public, and we encourage everyone associated with LDMHA or interested in volunteering with the Association to attend.
Assistants and Committee Chair elections will be held on Monday night for the following Committees:
Equipment Committee Chair
-Responsible for purchasing equipment for LDMHA
-Maintains record of all equipment
-Makes arrangements for handling, storage, repairing, cleaning and inventory of equipment
Coaching Committee Chair
-Responsible for interviewing applicants interested in a coaching position
-Holds meetings with coaches and managers prior to the start of the season to review policies
-Approve all members of the coaching staff
Convenors
-Act as a liaison for players, parents, Executive Members and coaching staff
(Numerous convenors are required for select divisions)
Trophies and Awards
-Maintain trophy cabinet
-Organize Red and White Day or a similar event each year
-Organize team photographs
Sponsorship and Fundraising
-Obtain new sponsors for teams and maintain relationships with current sponsors
-Collect sponsorship funds and report to the Executive Committee monthly
Tournaments
-Organize tournaments for LDMHA players
Constitution Review
-Review the Constitution and By-laws and make recommendations to the Executive Committee as required
-Ensure the by-laws and constitution are being adhered to
Communications and Publicity
-Coordinate the delivery of a webpage geared to serving Association Members
-Coordinate association advertising and other announcements in local media
-Update social media sites such as Facebook, Instagram etc.
