PLAYER OF THE GAME DECEMBER 22
Well tonight we left our Player-of-the-Game - #1 CARSON AUSTIN - pretty much on his own to keep the pucks out of the net.
Without solid defensive teamwork by all 5 players on the ice, it's easy for the opposing team to take advantage and create scoring opportunities. And they did just that.
Before our last game against Douro we taught our team how to defend against these structured players and they did... holding them to just two goals.
But tonight, in spite of Carson's valiant efforts, and stopping more shots than we could count, Douro consistently drew our team out of position, leaving the door wide open for them to score.
Congratulations Carson for keeping your chin up and for showing us a great example of good sportsmanship by wanting to go back out there in the 3rd period and get hammered some more in the face of adversity.
